Be Your Own Bike Mechanic
Be Your Own Bike Mechanic is offered as a 6-week course at our Bike School. Throughout the class you’ll learn about all aspects of your bike, from the quick releases to the bottom bracket. By the final class students will be able to deconstruct their bike, identify mechanical problems, and put it all back together again. This popular series is taught by professional mechanics and educators who love sharing their knowledge of bicycles.
Be Your Own Bike Mechanic Scholarship
This scholarship is for the mechanic-curious person who is trans, non-binary, genderqueer, two-spirit, femme, or women. This scholarship covers the $325 fee for our Gender Equality Outdoor (GEO) Edition of the Be Your Own Bike Mechanic class – a comprehensive 6 week course at our Bike School that meets once a week for 2 hours. Each 2 hour session consists of a lecture and hands-on bike mechanic practice. This scholarship can be applied to any GEO Editions of the Be You Own Bike Mechanic Class.

GEO classes aim to create space for female, trans, femme, and non-binary folks to share knowledge and enjoy the outdoors.
MTB Skill Builder Series
The MTB Skill Builder Series is great for new riders or those looking to practice the basics. You’ll hone your body positioning while riding in different terrain, refine your shifting & braking technique, work on climbing & descending, & practice trail etiquette as we get oriented to the different trails systems available in the area. These sessions provide ample opportunities for group discussion and practice of specific skills, and are great way to meet new trail riding friends too!
Intro to Basic Bike Maintenance
Intro to Basic Bike Maintenance is a one-time class taught at our Bike School location. This introductory class is a great start to understanding your bike, how it works, and how to keep it properly maintained. Students will learn bike anatomy, fixing-a-flat, and what tools and knowledge you need to be prepared while out riding. This one-time class is taught by professional mechanics who love sharing their knowledge of bicycles. Sliding scale pricing is available.
