Be Your Own Bike Mechanic is offered as a 6-week course at our Bike School. Throughout the class you’ll learn about all aspects of your bike, from the quick releases to the bottom bracket. By the final class students will be able to deconstruct their bike, identify mechanical problems, and put it all back together again. This popular series is taught by professional mechanics and educators who love sharing their knowledge of bicycles.
The Be Your Own Bike Mechanic course is sometimes hosted by Gender Equality Outdoors (GEO). Gender Equality Outdoors celebrates female, trans, and femme folks getting outside and sharing knowledge of bicycle mechanics and the outdoors. The GEO Editions of our class offerings are taught by female-identifying Instructors.
